Willibald Joseph MacDonald
Willibald Joseph MacDonald (born January 27, 1897 in Souris West , Prince Edward Island , † 1977 ) was a Canadian university professor and officer . From 1963 to 1969 he was Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island.
MacDonald graduated from Prince of Wales College and St. Dunstan's University in Charlottetown , and graduated from Université Laval in Québec with a Bachelor of Arts . He then taught at Prince of Wales College for several decades. During the First World War , he volunteered for service on the Western Front , and in October 1918 he was wounded. During the Second World War he commanded the Prince Edward Island Highlanders Regiment . Governor General Georges Vanier MacDonald Hyndman on August 1, 1963 as Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. He held this representative office until October 6, 1969.
