Bradford William LePage

Bradford William LePage (born February 19, 1876 in Rusticoville , Prince Edward Island , † December 4, 1958 in Charlottetown ) was a Canadian politician . From 1939 to 1945 he was Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island.

LePage owned a general store in Rusticoville. He later moved to Charlottetown and opened a shoe store there, the LePage Shoe Company . As a member of the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party , he ran successfully in the 1919 legislative assembly elections and remained a member of parliament for two decades. From 1927 to 1931 and from 1935 to 1936 he was in the Cabinets of Albert Charles Saunders and Walter Maxfield Lea each minister without portfolio . Governor General Lord Tweedsmuir swore in LePage on October 1, 1939 as Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. He held this representative office until May 30, 1945.
