Viskinge Kirke

Viskinge Sogn is a former parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the Danish island of Zealand . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Skippinge Herred in what was then Holbæk Amt , then to Bjergsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which in turn was merged into the enlarged Kalundborg Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

On January 1, 2019, Viskinge Sogn and Aunsø Sogn were merged to form Viskinge-Avnsø Sogn . (“Avnsø” is actually spelled differently from “Aunsø”.) This only relates to church matters. In its capacity as Matrikelsogne , i.e. as land register districts of the cadastral authority Geodatastyrelsen , such changes have not had any effect since the abolition of the Harden structure in 1970.

On October 1, 2018, 1,768 inhabitants lived in the parish, the "Viskinge Kirke" is located on the territory of the municipality.

Neighboring communities were Bregninge Sogn in the north and east , Aunsø Sogn in the south-east, Ubby Sogn in the south-west and Værslev Sogn in the west .
