Gierslev Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the Danish island of Zealand . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Løve Herred in what was then Holbæk Amt , then to Høng Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which in turn was merged into the enlarged Kalundborg Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

On January 1, 2020, 828 people lived in the parish, 278 of them in the village of Løve . The "Gierslev Kirke" and the "Vester Løve Kirke" are on the territory of the municipality.

Neighboring municipalities are in the northeast Finderup Sogn , in the east Solbjerg Sogn , in the West Drøsselbjerg Sogn , in the northwest Gørlev Sogn , as well as in the field of Slagelse Municipality in the southeast Havrebjerg Sogn and southwest Kirke Stillinge Sogn .
