Carl Kevin Moeddel

Carl Kevin Moeddel (born December 28, 1937 in Elmwood Place , Ohio , † August 25, 2009 in Cincinnati , Ohio) was auxiliary bishop in Cincinnati .

Life

Carl Kevin Moeddel studied at the Athenaeum of Ohio and was on 15 August 1962 Karl Joseph Alter for priests ordained. He was active for many years until 1993 in pastoral care, later in the diocese personnel director and director for pastoral services as well as vicar general and president of the ecumenical church conference in Ohio.

John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop in Cincinnati and Titular Bishop of Bistue on June 15, 1993 . The Archbishop of Cincinnati, Daniel Edward Pilarczyk , ordained him bishop on August 15 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Edward Anthony McCarthy , Archbishop of Miami , and James Henry Garland , Bishop of Marquette .

On June 20, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation due to illness. He died on August 25, 2009 at the age of 71.
