Carl Rieter
Carl Rieter , also Karl Rieter (born March 30, 1834 in Winterthur , Canton Zurich ; † January 8, 1857 in Düsseldorf , Rhine Province ), was a Swiss history painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
Carl Rieter, brother of the landscape painter Julius Rieter (1830–1897), studied from 1853 to 1857 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There were Theodor Hildebrandt and Wilhelm von Schadow his teachers.
