Carl Schreiner (actor)
Carl Maria Schreiner (born December 21, 1869 in Cologne , † September 16, 1931 in Weimar ) was a German stage actor .
Life
Schreiner trained as an actor and then worked in Mannheim , Weimar and Prague . After being a permanent guest at the Arminia fraternity in Prague for several years , he became a member in 1909 and an honorary member in 1912 .
In 1919 Schreiner appeared in the play Wilhelm Tell at the German National Theater in Weimar.
Schreiner was seen in a few silent films, such as in 1920 in Narrenliebe as Prince Viktor von Wentheim and in 1922 in Elsa or Baronesse Factory Worker as Count Julius von Barowski.
Schreiner gave his daughter Liselotte Schreiner (1904–1991) acting lessons in Weimar around 1927. At around the same time, the actor and director Herbert Körbs took private acting lessons from Schreiner.
