Carl Stauber
Carl Stauber (born November 3, 1815 in Amberg , † November 24, 1902 in Munich ) was a German genre painter , illustrator , caricaturist , etcher and lithographer .
Life
Carl Stauber studied painting from November 11, 1835 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich under Peter von Cornelius , Heinrich Maria von Hess and Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld . After graduating, he stayed in Munich and worked for the Fliegende Blätter from 1844 to 1893 .
Carl Stauber created (together with Carl Hermann Schmolze ) illustrations for the little treasure chest of the Rhenish family friend , Stuttgart 1846 (Cotta), as well as etchings for Georg Scherer's old and new children's songs .
