Your regular editorial offices during this time were Die Welt and Berliner Morgenpost . She outlined her self-image as a journalist in one of the following articles: “Journalists need a plan, an overarching goal, a vision to defend democracy.” Mohr believes that the authority to interpret journalism has suffered losses. Book author

In 2017 Carline Mohr published her first novel Kissing Costs extra by Rowohlt-Verlag , which was also published as an audio book by audible . The book is about a journalism student who tries to earn a living with waiters in a brothel and thereby gets to know the red light district. Mohr had worked as a barmaid in a brothel for a few months during her studies. The Hamburger Abendblatt described Mohr's work as a refreshing debut novel, well worded and with lots of punch lines. The novel breaks with clichés about the red light trade and takes a critical look at the world of men.
