Carlo Jenzer

Carlo Jenzer (born August 16, 1937 - May 1, 1997 ) was a Swiss educator .

Life

Jenzer studied pedagogy, philosophy and French in Bern , Zurich and Dijon and did his doctorate on Michel de Montaigne . He taught at schools and had lectureships at universities, and from 1969 to 1997 he headed the Pedagogy Department of the Education Department of the Canton of Solothurn . He published on school development, curriculum development, teacher training, classroom evaluation and school history.

Jenzer is considered the founder of the comprehensive school Dulliken , director of the education department of the canton of Solothurn and lectured at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) .
