Carlo Tagnin
Carlo Tagnin (born November 18, 1932 in Alessandria , † March 13, 2000 ibid) was an Italian football player and coach.
The half-forward and later midfielder began his career in the youth of AC Turin . He began his professional career in his hometown of Alessandria, before playing again for AC Turin, then for Monza , Lazio , Bari and Modena . He reached his sporting climax when he was awarded a contract with Helenio Herrera at Grande Inter at the age of 30 . There he was used in the 1964 final of the European Cup in Vienna , which Inter Milan won 3-1 against Real Madrid . As a rascal in midfield, he kept the strikers Luis Suárez and Mario Corso 's back free and largely eliminated the Madrid playmaker Alfredo Di Stéfano .
Carlo Tagnin coached the teams from Albese, Savona and Alessandria, as well as the youth teams from Inter Milan.
