Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa Sánchez (* 1940 in La Felguera , Asturias ; † September 23, 2015 in Seville , Andalusia ) was a Spanish actor , theater director , writer and university lecturer .

Life

Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa Sánchez studied law and Romance languages ​​and did a doctorate in Spanish. From 1957 Álvarez-Nóvoa played on Spanish theaters. He started at the Teatro Español Universitario and later played in Seville , Madrid and Barcelona, among others . His theater career spanned over four decades, including staging many plays himself.

In 1999 he played in Benito Zambrano's film drama Solas alongside María Galiana and Ana Fernández . At the age of sixty years he was at the presentation of the Spanish film award Goya in 2000 as Best Newcomer Award.

Parallel to his acting career, Álvarez-Nóvoa also taught at various institutes.

Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa Sánchez died in Seville on September 23, 2015 at the age of 75.
