Carlos Mora Sabaté (born March 19, 1990 in Tarragona ) is a Spanish volleyball player .

Career

Sabaté began his career in his hometown with Tarragona SPSP. In 2009 he made his debut for the Spanish national team . In 2011 the player switched to Fábregas Saragossa . In the same year he played for the first time in the European volleyball league . In the 2012/13 season he was active at Ushuaïa Ibiza . He then moved to CV Teruel . With the club he became Spanish champion in 2014. He also reached the semi-finals in the national cup and the quarter-finals in the CEV Cup against Generali Haching . In 2014 the Spaniard moved to the German Bundesliga club SVG Lüneburg . With the North Germans he reached the DVV Cup final and the playoff semifinals in the 2014/15 season . Sabaté played with the national team in the 2015 World Volleyball League . In the 2015/16 season, Sabaté reached the semifinals of the DVV Cup and the playoffs with Lüneburg . In the summer of 2016, the player was again in the Spanish squad for the world league . Sabaté reached the quarter-finals with the club in the DVV-Pokal 2016/17 and the Bundesliga playoffs . He then moved to the Dutch first division club Abiant Lycurgus Groningen . With the club he reached the national cup final and became Dutch champion. After being eliminated in the second round of the Champions League, he lost to Groningen in the sixteenth finals of the CEV Cup . In the 2018/19 season Sabaté played for the Spanish club CV L'Illa Grau in Castellón de la Plana . In 2019 he returned to his hometown club Tarragona SPSP.
