Carlos Julián Quintero Norena (born March 5, 1986 in Villamaría ) is a Colombian track and road cyclist.

Athletic career

Carlos Quintero won the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the 2005 Pan American Championships and was the Colombian champion in the single pursuit . On the road, he finished fourth in the road race of the Pan American Championship in 2011. From 2012 to 2015 Quintero drove for the Professional Continental Team Colombia . In his first year there he started near Milan-Sanremo and won the mountain classification at the Four Days of Dunkirk . 2013 took part for the first time in a major tour, the Giro d'Italia 2013 , which he did not finish. In 2015 he won the mountain classification of Tirreno-Adriatico .

In 2018, Quintero won the sixth stage of the Vuelta a Colombia , which was not held as an international race this year. In 2019 he finished second at the Klasika Primavera and won one stage of the Tour of Asturias .
