Carlos Talavera Ramírez
Carlos Talavera Ramírez (born November 10, 1923 in Mexico City , † July 2, 2006 ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Coatzacoalcos .
Life
Carlos Talavera Ramírez was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Mexico on December 18, 1948 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Aufinium and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Mexico on January 15, 1980 . He was ordained episcopal on March 25th of the same year by the Archbishop of Mexico, Ernesto Cardinal Corripio y Ahumada ; Co-consecrators were the coadjutor bishop of Aguascalientes , Alfredo Torres Romero , and Francisco María Aguilera González , auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Mexico.
On March 14, 1984, Pope John Paul II appointed him first bishop of the Coatzacoalcos diocese, which was established on the same date . On September 24, 2002, the Pope accepted his age-related resignation.
