Carmen was an American - English rock band from the 1970s.
history
Carmen's music is a mixture of progressive rock and flamenco . The band also performed flamenco dance routines at their live shows.
The band released three albums produced by Tony Visconti between 1973 and 1976 . As the opening act for Santana , Blue Öyster Cult , Electric Light Orchestra and Jethro Tull , Carmen reached a larger concert audience. However, before the release of their third album The Gypsies , the band broke up.
