Carmen Miller

Carmen Beatrice Miller (born January 20, 1977 in Munich ) is a German artist and art teacher who is best known for her acrylic paintings as well as wood and ceramic objects. Her other fields of activity include a. Design , photography , comics and screen printing . Carmen Miller comes from an old Munich family, including her great-uncle Walter Klingenbeck .

Life

Already artistically gifted as a child, Miller studied art and art history at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich after graduating from high school . During her studies, she worked in a Munich glass painting workshop , in prepress and as a workshop assistant for screen printing and letterpress printing at the Munich Art Academy.

In 1997 Miller presented drawings to a wider public for the first time. Her mainly abstract pictures and screen prints, often in thematic series, are mostly based on the painterly perception of space. Her objects also contain handcraft moments.

Carmen Miller lives and works in Munich.
