Carnoy (Picard: Carneu) is a commune Déléguée in the northern French municipality Carnoy's Mametz with 102 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France.

geography

The municipality is located about ten kilometers west of Combles and north of the D938 département road from Péronne to Albert , which cuts through the southern part of the municipality.

history

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .

The Carnoy community merged with Mametz on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Carnoy-Mametz. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Carnoy belonged to the canton of Albert and had been part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot (previously Communauté de communes du canton de Combles ) since January 1, 2013 .
