Carole da Silva Costa (born May 3, 1990 in Braga ) is a Portuguese soccer player .

Life

Carole da Silva Costa studied sports science in Portugal . She broke off her studies after an offer to play as a professional footballer in Germany. She plans to resume her studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

Football career

For the 2010/11 Bundesliga season she came to SG Essen-Schönebeck on the recommendation of Ana Cristina Oliveira Leite . Before that, she played for the northern Portuguese first division club CP Martim and Leixões SC . She played 42 Bundesliga games for Essen and scored one goal. In summer 2013, da Silva Costa moved to FCR 2001 Duisburg and joined the successor club MSV Duisburg in January 2014 . On June 5, 2015, she announced her move to BV Cloppenburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . Costa played 42 games in two seasons and scored 10 goals before the defender signed for Sporting Lisbon on June 26, 2017 .
