Caroline Agnou (born May 26, 1996 in Olten ) is a Swiss heptathlete .

Career

In 2015 she won the European Junior Athletics Championships in Eskilstuna with a personal best of 6123 points. Agnou thus qualified for the World Athletics Championships in Beijing , where she finished 22nd with 5866 points. In 2017 she won the gold medal at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, with a new Swiss record (this record was improved a week later by Géraldine Ruckstuhl ) of 6330 points. With this achievement she qualified for the World Championships in London in August. In 2019 Agnou won the bronze medal at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 5844 points behind the Finn Miia Sillman and Marthe Koala from Burkina Faso.

Her mother is German, her father comes from Benin . He was her trainer at times.
