Caroline Hartge

Caroline Hartge (* 1966 in Hanover ) is a German writer.

life and work

Hartge studied English , Hispanic and geography and has published poetry and prose in numerous anthologies and literary magazines since 1987. In 1996 she made her debut with the volume of short stories Ptolemain / Die Narrative Maschine . Her poems have been translated into English, Dutch, Estonian, French, Italian, Catalan, Spanish and Arabic; she herself translated the lyrics of Lenore Kandels and Elise Cowens from American English into German. In 2007 Hartge gave the Helmut Salzinger monograph querFALK together with Ralf Zühlke . Book out through a magazine . In 2016 she was a member of the jury of the Bonn Literature Prize, alongside crauss (Siegen) and Barbara Weidle (Bonn).

Caroline Hartge lives in Garbsen and has been working for the Thomas Schlück literary agency since 1999, of which she has been head of the contract department since 2015.
