SEAL RING. Zeitschrift für Literatur is a literary magazine that has been published since 1981.
The magazine was created around the universities of Bonn and Bochum and is now published by a group of authors based in the Bonn area. One focus is the support of intercultural communication through the publication of texts from other literatures. The French, English, Russian, Catalan, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Romanian texts usually appear with a German translation. The contents are not restricted to specific genres, but are assigned to the abstract topics given for the individual issues (e.g. “outrage”, “body”).
The DICHTUNGSRING cooperates with the Belgian literary magazine and authors' group Krautgarten in St. Vith and with the Bonn magazine Kritische Ausgabe .

Bonn Literature Prize
The Dichtungsring eV has been awarding the Bonn Literature Prize since 2014. Endowed with € 500.00 in the first few years, the prize money was increased to € 1,000.00 from 2017.
