Caroline Kiesewetter
Caroline Kiesewetter (born July 13, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a German actress , singer and speaker.
Life
Kiesewetter was born into a family of artists. She is the daughter of TV cook and cookbook author Marion Kiesewetter . Her uncle was the musician Knut Kiesewetter . As a child she was already on stage.
She received her acting and singing training at the "Rose Bruford College of Drama" in London, which she graduated with a bachelor's degree . Her first engagements in Germany were the role of Sally Bowles in " Cabaret " and the title role in " Evita ". In the Friedrichstadtpalast she sang in the Winterrevue. In 2014 she took on the role of Diana Godman in “Next to normal” at the Hildesheim Theater .
Her classic theater roles include Rosalinde in “ As You Like It ”, Queen Elisabeth in “ Don Carlos ”, Adelheid in “ Götz von Berlichingen ” and Beatrice in “ Much Ado About Nothing ”. For example, she was on stage at the Lüneburg City Theater , the Stuttgart Theater , the Hamburger Kammerspiele and the St. Pauli Theater .
Kiesewetter also emerged as a jazz singer . Her German-language debut album was released in 2008 by Edel Kultur. She has been singing in various big bands across Germany for many years, such as the Thilo Wolf Big Band and the Lumberjack Big Band. In 2016 her jazz solo CD appeared on the market , sometimes loud, sometimes quiet .
She became known on television for the NDR series Sesame Street and a supporting role in the ZDF series Die Rettungsflieger . In the television series Rote Rosen , she was seen in the role of Anne Lichtenhagen from 2011 to 2012, which she played again in 2019.
Caroline Kiesewetter has recorded several audio books for children as a speaker.
