Caroline Knutsen (born November 21, 1983 in Skibotn , Norway ) is a Norwegian former soccer player . The goalkeeper was most recently under contract with the Norwegian club Vålerenga Oslo and occasionally played for the Norwegian national team from 2009 to 2013 .

Career

Knutsen won the championship and cup double four times, in 2005 with Asker, from 2008 to 2010 with Røa IL .

She went through the youth national teams, but was not the goalkeeper there. With the U-21 team, she was used at the Nordic Cup in the game for seventh place, which Norway won on penalties against England.

In 2007 she was in the squad for the 2007 Women's World Cup in the People's Republic of China, although she had not yet played an A international match. But it was not used. For the Olympic Games in Beijing , however, it was not taken into account. She made her first international match on January 31, 2009 when she lost 5-1 to Sweden when she was substituted on at 4-0 in the second half. She was appointed to the squad for the European Championship in Finland , but was not used there. In 2010 and 2011 she was not reinstated either, but was appointed to the World Cup squad for the 2011 World Cup . Only the subsequently nominated Kristine Wigdahl Hegland had fewer appearances in the national team. In the preliminary round from the Norwegian team, it was not used. As a result, she came to a few missions until January 2013.
