The CG 2 ( Catalan carretera general ) is the longest main road in Andorra . It is 32.1 kilometers long and connects Andorra la Vella with Escaldes , Encamp , Canillo and the French border. The road, opened in 1933, represents the state's only main connection to France, and the Tùnel d'Envalìra has been available since 2002 in addition to the route via the Port d'Envalira pass . The toll tunnel shortens the travel route by six kilometers, but is not part of CG 2. From 1960 to 1994 the road was numbered N-2.
