The Carrot River is a right tributary of the Saskatchewan River in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba .

The Carrot River rises southwest of Kinistino in eastern Saskatchewan. It flows mainly in an east-northeast direction. It passes the places Kinistino and Carrot River . Eventually, the river joins the Saskatchewan River 3 km west of The Pas . The Carrot River has a length of about 400 km. The Carrot River drains a relatively large area in northeast Saskatchewan and collects the water from numerous smaller rivers. During the snowmelt and during periods of heavy rainfall, there are repeated floods and flooding in the lower reaches of the Carrot River.
