Carsten Albers

Carsten Albers (* 1968 ) is a German Anglicist .

Life

From 1988 to 1990 he studied English, German , mass media and Romance studies at the University of Münster , from 1990 to 1991 at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Amherst College : American Studies (literature, culture and cultural history of the USA) and from 1991 to 1996 in Münster English / American studies, German studies and journalism. From 1991 to 1994 he was an assistant at Eckard Rolf (linguistics). From 1994 to 1995 he was an assistant at Werner Zillig . After completing his Magister Artium in 1996, he was a research assistant with Brian Gibbons from 1996 to 1997 , working on the editorial work on individual editions of New Cambridge Shakespeare and the New Mermaids series. In 1998 he was a research assistant at Volker Honemann . After completing his doctorate in American literature at the University of Paderborn in 2002, he was a research assistant at the Institute for English / American Studies at the University of Paderborn from 2004 to 2006 . From 2009 to 2010 he was a lecturer at the Institute for English and American Studies in Paderborn . From 2010 to 2013 he taught English at St. Michael Paderborn High School . From 2010 to 2014 he represented the W 3 professorship for the didactics of Anglophone literatures and cultures at the English Seminar II at the University of Cologne . From 2014 to 2019 he represented the professor for English didactics at the University of Halle-Wittenberg . Since 2019 he has been teaching as a professor for English didactics in Halle an der Saale - Wittenberg .

His focus is on literature and media didactics, intermedia teaching and learning concepts, bilingual subject teaching, popular culture in English teaching and dealing with diversity.
