The Casadepaga River is a 53 km long right tributary of the Niukluk River in the south of the Seward Peninsula in western Alaska .
The Casadepaga River rises in the mountains in the south of the Seward Peninsula, 50 km northeast of the city of Nome , at an altitude of about 430 m . It initially flows 3 km to the southwest and then 10 km in an east-southeast direction. Then the Casadepaga River turns to the northeast, cuts through a ridge and after another 10 km turns to the north-northeast. In the lower reaches of the Big Four Creek flows into the river from the right. After another 9 km, the Casadepaga River finally meets the Niukluk River.
The catchment area of the Casadepaga River was the target of prospectors looking for gold in the river sediments towards the end of the 19th century .
The river name comes from the language of the Eskimos. It was first published in 1900 by the US Geological Survey (USGS) .
