Casey Wright (born December 19, 1994 in Alexandra ) is an Australian cross-country skier .
Career
Since 2012 Wright has mainly participated in the Cross-Country Skiing Australia / New Zealand Cup . So far, she has achieved 12 podium finishes, including three wins, and came third in 2016 and second in the overall ranking in 2018 and 2019 (as of September 21, 2019). At the Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec , she took 73rd place over 5 km freestyle, 50th place in the sprint and 14th place with the relay and at the Junior World Ski Championships in 2014 in Fiemme Valley, 65th place over 5 km classic , the 62nd place in the skiathlon and the 48th place in the sprint. Her best placements at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero were 54th place in the skiathlon and 14th place in the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2015 in Falun , she came 47th in the 30 km mass start race, 18th with Jessica Yeaton in the team sprint and 14th place with the relay. In January 2017 she ran at the U23 World Championships in Soldier Hollow on 40th place over 10 km freestyle and 29th place in sprint. The following year she finished 81st place in the 10 km freestyle and 63rd place in the sprint at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
