Perisher Valley is a ski resort and holiday village in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales , Australia , on 1720 meters above sea level. It is located in the Snowy River Shire and Kosciuszko National Park . Perisher Valley, operated by the New South Wales Department of Environment and Climate Change , is mainly occupied in winter, although it is open year-round.

The ski area can be reached with the ski tube and by car. There is also a free connection through the parking service, because cars are not allowed to be parked there at night during the winter months. The Skitube's rail link went into operation in 1987 to Perisher Valley, and a year later it was extended to Blue Cow . The railway company also takes on the logistics of the restaurants there.

The population of the village amounts to 102 people. Around 2,500 tourists arrive in winter.
