Cassandra Harris (born December 15, 1948 in Sydney , Australia , † December 28, 1991 in Los Angeles , California , United States ) was an Australian film actress .

Life

Cassandra Harris was born Sandra Colleen Waites in Australia. Her first marriage was to Dermot Harris, the younger brother of Richard Harris , with whom she had two children. In 1980 she married Pierce Brosnan . With Brosnan she had another child, the actor Sean Brosnan (* 1983).

Cassandra Harris was seen as an actress in the James Bond film In A Deadly Mission and later played in four episodes of the television series Remington Steele at the side of her husband, who embodied the title character in the series. In late 1991, Harris died of ovarian cancer at the age of 43. Pierce Brosnan has been involved in cancer research ever since and set up his own foundation for this purpose. Cassandra Harris' daughter Charlotte from her first marriage also died of ovarian cancer in 2013 at the age of 41.
