The Catalunyan Saddle (English; Bulgarian Каталунска седловина Katalunska sedlowina ) is a 1260 m high mountain saddle on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the Friesland Ridge of the Tangra Mountains, it lies west of Lyaskovets Peak and east of Presian Ridge . The St. Kliment Ohridski station is 11.5 km to the west and the Kuzman Knoll 3.4 km north of it.
Bulgarian scientists mapped it between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 in honor of Catalan scientists and mountain guides from the Spanish Juan Carlos I Station , who first crossed this pass in 1991 on their way to Mount Friesland .
