Cathy Podewell

Cathy Podewell (born January 26, 1964 in Evanston , Illinois ) is an American actress . She gained worldwide fame primarily through her role as Cally Harper Ewing in the television series Dallas .

Life

Podewell, who was a member of a marching band and cheerleader during her time in high school in Walnut Creek, California , studied acting and dance at the University of California at Santa Barbara .

After a guest appearance on the series The Hogan Clan , she got her first role in the US horror flick Night of the Demons in 1987 . Larry Hagman saw her on the sitcom Our Loud Home and suggested her for the role of Cally Harper Ewing . Cally, a seemingly naive girl from Haleyville, a small town in Louisiana , is eventually ripped to be JR Ewing's second wife.

After the end of Dallas , she appeared in series such as Murder is Her Hobby , Beverly Hills, 90210 and Walker, Texas Ranger .
