The Cato Bontjes van Beek grammar school is - next to the Achimer grammar school on the market - one of two grammar schools in Achim in the Lower Saxony district of Verden and was inaugurated on September 11, 1971. It was named after Cato Bontjes van Beek , a German resistance fighter against National Socialism , in 1991; previously it was called the Achim grammar school .

Since March 14, 2006 the Cato-Bontjes-van-Beek-Gymnasium has been a school without racism - school with courage .
