Cecil de Lautour

Cecil Albert de Lautour ( 1845 - December 15, 1930 ) was a New Zealand politician and member of the House of Representatives in the Otago region .

Career

Around 1879 he settled in Napier on the North Island and became a lawyer .

From 1876 to 1884 he represented the Mount Ida constituency in the New Zealand House of Representatives . In July 1884 he traveled to Auckland and ran in the general election of 1884 in the Newton constituency . He was defeated by Thomas Peacock by 732 votes against 608. He ran in the Waiapu constituency in the 1893 general election and was defeated by James Carroll .

He died on December 15, 1930.
