Celeirós is a Portuguese community ( freguesia ) in the Concelho Sabrosa .
The place is south of the small town Sabrosa in the mountains of the Alto Douro . The townscape is determined by the Catholic parish church of São Pedro , which was built in the 18th century.
The Portuguese Prime Minister António Teixeira de Sousa was born here in 1857 .
