Cent Donnersdorf

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cent Donnersdorf was a high court district in the Hochstift Würzburg .

history

The cent was originally owned by the Bamberg monastery and was probably exchanged for Würzburg in 1017. Regarding the place Prölsdorf , the cent jurisdiction with Bamberg was disputed, until in a recess in 1685 the affiliation to the Würzburgischen Cent Donnersdorf was finally determined.

The limits of the cents did not coincide with the certain official limits . The places of the Sprengels des Centgericht belonged to the Wurzburg offices of Gerolzhofen , Mainberg , Oberschwarzach and Zabelstein . The places belonged to the cent

In 1575 the following were also mentioned:

There were 14 lay judges in the cent . These were hereditary judges. A part of the centorte was only subject to the cent to a limited extent. The criminals handed these over to the Zabelstein Office , where the local bailiff spoke right. By default, the Centgericht met twice a year. In good weather the negotiation took place "uf der Schrannen", in bad weather in the town hall of Donnersdorf.

As a field name, "Im Stockach", about 1,600 meters northwest of the church, indicates this court.
