history

The businessman Hans-Dieter Günther and the engineer Berthold Hemer founded CeoTronics GmbH in May 1985 , which started operations on June 1, 1985. The young company expanded rapidly and established subsidiaries in France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Spain and the USA between 1986 and 1993.

In December 1997, the shareholders' meeting decided to convert the company into a stock corporation under the name CeoTronics AG Audio Video Data Communication . The IPO on the Neuer Markt in Frankfurt am Main in 1998 brought capital for the next development step: With the establishment of CT-Video GmbH in 1999, a second production site was set up in Lutherstadt Eisleben . In 2001 CT-Video GmbH moved into a new factory building, which was expanded in 2009 by 650 to 1,850 m².

Another subsidiary was founded in Poland in 2002.

The shares were admitted to trading on the regulated market ( Prime Standard ) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2003 .

Ceotronics engineer Berthold Herner received the Georg Waeber Innovation Prize in 2006 together with Jürgen Hupp from the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS).

The company reported the largest order in its history to date in April 2007. The Bundeswehr ordered 3,700 CT-DECT JetCom systems with an order value of 5.5 million euros. In December 2007 the Bundeswehr commissioned the third lot. The total order thus amounted to over EUR 8.5 million. Also in 2007 the Ceotronics share was included in the GEX stock market index .

In the 2008/2009 financial year, the AG achieved group sales of EUR 18.8 million.

The shares were listed in the Entry Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange from February 28, 2011 to March 1, 2017 . The fiscal year runs from June 1st to May 31st.

Group structure

The company has subsidiaries in Europe and America:

The foreign subsidiaries are pure sales companies.

Products

When the company was founded, communication headsets with noise protection for connection to radio equipment were mainly sold. The aim was secure communication in all noise areas in industry as well as aircraft assembly, maintenance and handling. In the early 1990s, Ceotronics brought the world's first headset with a built-in radio to the market.

A short time later, communication systems for installation in and attachment to helmets were added. Another product area was communication systems for state security and law enforcement officers for semi-concealed and fully concealed carrying.

The subsidiary CT-Video in Lutherstadt Eisleben focuses on the production and worldwide sales of systems for video, audio and data transmission via radio.

The digital technology ( DECT ) expanded the application possibilities since 2001. In addition to hearing / speaking systems for analog radio devices, systems for connection to digital radio devices have also been increasingly produced since then.
