Galit Chait ( Hebrew : גלית חייט, Galit Hayat , born January 29, 1975 in Kfar Saba ) is a former Israeli figure skater who started in ice dancing .
She competed in international competitions from 1996 to 2006 together with Sergei Sachnowski . Previously, her ice dance partner was Maxim Sevostyanov , with whom she finished sixth at the US Championships and 28th place at the 1994 World Championships .
At the Olympic Games in 2002 and 2006 , Galit Chait was the flag bearer of the Israeli delegation. One of her greatest successes with Sergei Sachnowski was the bronze medal at the 2002 World Championships .
After Sergei Sachnowski suffered a foot injury, the ice dance couple Chait / Sachnowski ended their career in 2007. Galit Chait now works as a trainer. Her best-known students in international competitive sport are the Israeli ice dancers Alexandra Zaretski and Roman Zaretski , but she was also trained by the American-Japanese siblings Cathy Reed and Chris Reed , who are starting for Japan .
Since 2008 Galit Chait has been married to Francesco Moracci, an Italian police officer who was part of the security staff for the Israeli team at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin .
