The Challenger Glacier is a glacier in North Cascades National Park in the US state of Washington on the north slope of Mount Challenger . The glacier descends from about 8,000 ft (2,438 m) to about 5,000 ft (1,524 m) altitude. With a width of over 2 mi (3.2 km), Challenger Glacier ends in a wide tongue with deep crevices and numerous ice falls and a spur to the north that ends in an ice reservoir . Climbing the glacier is one of the most popular routes to get to the top of Mount Challenger.
