The Chalung Ri is located in the Tibetan part of the Langtang Himal in the Himalayas .
The 6767 m high glaciated mountain is located in Gyirong County of the district-free city of Xigazê . The Chalung Ri is 16.26 km north-northwest of Gang Benchen and 48 km northwest of Shishapangma . Is the on the northwest edge Chalunggletscher , on the southwest flank of the Wusagletscher and on the southeast flank of the Chagogletscher . The two western glaciers feed the Chalung , a left tributary of the Kyirong Tsangpo (upper reaches of the Trishuli in Tibet). The east side of the Chalung lies in the catchment area of the Tibetan Lake Peiku Tso .
