The Khantayka River ( Russian Хантайка ) is a right tributary of the Yenisei in the north of Russia's Krasnoyarsk region .
On the western slope of the Putorana Mountains , it flows from the Little Chantaika Lake , which in turn is fed by the runoff from the Chantai Lake. It flows in a westerly direction and flows into the Chantaika reservoir . In snezhnogorsk is the associated dam. From there the Chantaika continues its course in a westerly direction and flows into the Yenisei after another 63 km . The Chantaika has a length of 174 km. Its catchment area covers 30,700 km². At its mouth, the mean discharge is 590 m³ / s. The river is covered by a layer of ice between October and early June.
