Chantal Herlindes Juliëtte Beltman (born August 25, 1976 in Slagharen ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

Athletic career

Chantal Beltman was an elite cyclist from 1999 to 2009. In 2000 she became vice world champion in road racing . In the following years she had stage successes in the Women's Challenge (2001), in the International Thuringia Tour of Women , the Tour de Feminin - Krásná Lípa . In 2002 she won the prologue of the Giro d'Italia Femminile . She won the Rotterdam Tour twice (2000 and 2003), the Open de Suède Vårgårda in 2007 and the Liberty Classic and the Ronde van Drenthe in 2008 . In 2005 she finished fifth in the road racing world championships and in 2007 second in the overall ranking of the Giro della Toscana . At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , she finished 37th in the road race and supported Leontien Zijlaard-van Moorsel in her Olympic victory. In the road race of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing it was Forty-seventh.

After her second start at the Olympics, Beltman lost her motivation and in 2009 she contested the Holland Ladies Tour as her last race. She then worked for the Amsterdam Police Department, and later for the Arnhem Sports Department (as of 2020).
