Charles-Louis Prince of Merode

Charles-Louis Francois Marie, Prince of Merode (full title: Prince de Merode, Prince de Rubempré, Prince de Grimberghe, Marquis de Westerloo ) (born April 6, 1949 in Brussels , Belgium), is the son of Albert, Prince of Merode and Henriette Marie Louise Adrienne de Vogüé. He is the head of the Princely House of Merode, which is wealthy in Germany, Belgium and France . He is currently the President of the European Community of Historical Riflemen . He is a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece and Prior of the Order of  Knights of Saint Sebastian in Europe .

Carl-Ludwig manages the Merode Castle and is active in forestry in Germany and Belgium ( Westerlo and Rixensart ). In 2013 he was appointed Honorary Consul of Belgium for the city ​​region of Aachen , Düren and Euskirchen .
