The European Community Historical shooters ( English European Community of Historic Marksmen's guilds , French Communauté Européenne Historiques of Gilde de Tir , Dutch Europese Gemeenschap van historical Schutter Guild ) is the association of national rifle formations in Eindhoven . It was founded in 1955 by representatives from the Netherlands , Belgium and Germany . The community has a total of 2,702 shooting brotherhoods with a total of almost one million members.

The founding year of the European Community of Historical Riflemen is 1955, from a working group of historical riflemen from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany the "European Community of Historical Riflemen" (EGS) was founded. The Bureau

In 1994 the EGS passed a new structure and statutes , which gave the executive board a balanced and greater competence. The presidium of the EGS also provides the chapter of the Knightly Order of St. Sebastianus in Europe .

Grand Master Karl Habsburg-Lothringen

The Order of Knights of Saint Sebastian in Europe was founded in 1985 and donated by the European Association of Historical Riflemen (EGS). As the first Grand Master was Otto von Habsburg be won.
