Charles Aidman

Charles Aidman (born January 21, 1925 in Frankfort , Illinois , † November 7, 1993 in Beverly Hills , California ) was an American actor .

The doctor's son played college football and served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948. Aidman studied acting with Sanford Meisner in New York . In 1956 he played Marcus Antonius in the Shakespeare play Julius Caesar . Aidman's television debut took place in 1954, at the same time he founded the Theater West in Los Angeles with Curt Conway . The track Spoon River Anthology earned him a Tony Award .

Although Aidman appeared in front of the camera primarily for television, he also appeared in several movies. On television, he appeared in one of the first episodes of Twilight Zone and was later hired as a narrator. He was also a guest on many series: Bonanza , Smoking Colts , The Boss , The People from Shiloh Ranch , Mannix , Kung Fu , Mission in Manhattan , The Streets of San Francisco , Quincy and Dallas .

On November 7, 1993, Aidman died of cancer.
