Karl Angelus Winkhler
Karl Angelus Winkhler (* 1787 in Hungary , † December 15, 1845 in Pest ) was a composer and piano teacher.
life and work
Karl Angelus Winkhler worked in Pest as a composer and piano teacher. His 40 or more works with opus numbers are mainly intended for piano solo, but also include chamber music and music for piano and orchestra. Winkhler also contributed a variation to a waltz by Anton Diabelli , who had inspired a total of 50 contemporary composers to each produce a variation on a self-composed waltz, which was published under the title " Vaterländischer Künstlerverein "; Beethoven processed the theme in his own Diabelli variations .
