Charles Braverman

Charles "Chuck" Braverman (born March 3, 1944 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American cameraman , film director and film producer .

Career

His film career began in 1967 as a cameraman for the short film 6.18.67 by George Lucas . He then made his directorial debut in the short film An American Time Capsule , released in 1969 . His first involvement as a film producer was in 1971 with the documentary Television Land . In the 1980s he was mainly responsible as a producer for documentaries . At the same time and in the 1990s, he also directed television series such as head physician Dr. Westphall , The Falls of Harry Fox , Sledge Hammer! , Beverly Hills, 90210 , Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu or Hercules .

In 2000, two documentaries were released by him, for which he was responsible as producer and director. Braverman received a DGA Award from the DGA in 2001 for High School Boot Camp . He received an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Short Film for his performance on Curtain Call . His most recent documentary was released in 2015 and is about the criminal case against OJ Simpson .

Private

Charles Braverman was born in Los Angeles in 1944. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1967 . He has been married to Marilyn Lennon since October 28, 2000. His younger brother is the actor Bart Braverman , who has participated in over 100 productions.
