occupation

Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer (often just called Mike Hammer ) is an American crime series starring Stacy Keach in the title role, which first aired on CBS from 1984 to 1985 . The series is about the adventures of the fictional private detective Mike Hammer and crime writer Mickey Spillane and comprises 24 episodes in two seasons. It was preceded by the two television films Mike Hammer - Murder on Demand from 1983 and Mike Hammer - A Murder Is Not Enough from 1984, which also feature Stacy Keach.

1986 followed with the television film Mike Hammer - Kidnapping in Hollywood, the start of the US television series The New Mike Hammer , which was first broadcast on CBS from 1986 to 1987 and consists of 22 episodes in one season. In 1989 another TV movie called Mike Hammer - Girls, Murders and Monets came out .

Due to the same main cast and the great similarity of the two series, they are often counted on the same "Mike Hammer" series with Stacy Keach.

The two series are follow-up series to the series Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer, which appeared from 1958 to 1959, with Darren McGavin in the title role. From 1997 to 1998 another "Mike Hammer" series with Stacy Keach called Mike Hammer, Private Eye was shown on television.

action

The series is about the adventures of the fictional private detective Mike Hammer, who follows the New York crime in the rough way. He is not squeamish with his fist and weapon, which is why he often comes up against the limits of the law and is thus in conflict with prosecutor Barrington.
