Gayne Rescher

Gayne Rescher (born December 19, 1924 in New York City , † February 29, 2008 in Gig Harbor , Washington ) was an American cameraman .

Life

Rescher's parents, Jean Tolley and Jay Rescher, both worked in the film business during the silent era: she as an actress, he as a cameraman. During the Second World War , Rescher was active as a fighter pilot.

Rescher began his career as a cameraman in the mid-1950s. Up until the 1970s he was mainly involved in cinema productions, from the 1970s he mainly worked for television. In 1980, 1989 and 1991 he was honored with an Emmy for his work , plus five nominations. He was also able to win the ASC Award twice . He received one of the awards in 1991 for the television production Hot Legacy Las Vegas . His last work is from 1997.

Rescher was married three times in his life. From his first marriage between 1949 and 1973 he had three children. A second marriage lasted until his wife's death in 1988, the third lasted until his death. One of his children, Dee Dee Rescher, is an actress in the film business.
